How can a Budget Account improve my finances?

Many companies offer a discount for payment by Direct Debit, which penalises people who do not have access to a bank current account.

We are able to help you obtain these discounts by opening up a Budget Account with the Credit Union.

At the start of each month, we transfer the amount of the bills that you wish to pay from your Savings Account into into your Budget account, and charge the Direct Debits as we make the payments.

You must ensure that at this time there is enough money in your Savings account to cover any loan guarantees as well as the total amount needed to meet the bills due in that month.

All you need to do is

* print off the application form and fill it in
* get a Direct Debit application form from each company that you wish to pay
* bring all the forms to any branch.

Please do not complete the bank details or sign the direct debit forms in advance - a Credit Union signatory must do that.
